Rights and Responsibilities

Temping for the first time can be daunting, and while WellsGray will provide you with as much information as possible relating to the work, company and duties expected, we also understand that much can be forgotten in the rush to secure work. Below are some basic guidelines to help you along the way:

Punctuality & Attendance

You are only paid for the hours that you work when on a temporary contract so it’s in your best interest to always be at work on time. If you are unable to make it to your assignment on time you must contact WellsGray immediately to advise.

Grooming

Your WellsGray consultant will advise you on attire before each assignment but if in doubt, follow the Golden Rules: No denim, no printed T’s, no sandals and always take a blazer/suit jacket. Some of our clients are more relaxed than others and you will be told of this at the time of booking.

Mobile Phones

Please place your mobile phone on ‘Silent’ when on assignment. Take and return calls only on your allocated breaks and keep SMS to a minimum.

Overtime

ALWAYS check with WellsGray before agreeing to work overtime. As you are paid a higher rate when performing overtime, the client is going to be charged a higher rate and this will need to be agreed upon between WellsGray and the client first.

Email and Internet

A copy of WellsGray’s email and internet policy would have been given to you at the time of booking your first assignment in the Temp Handbook and can be provided to you upon request.

Quite simply, we ask that you not send any personal emails from clients work email accounts nor take it upon yourself to look at the internet... even the news...just for a minute. Remember, the client is paying you literally by the minute, if you have run out of work to do then you owe it to them to be proactive! If a client advises that they are comfortable with you using the internet for non-work purposes then make your WellsGray consultant aware so that we can document it.

Health and Safety

Please make WellsGray aware of ANY injury or near-miss that occurs whilst on assignment. If you have been placed on an assignment that you feel is likely to cause you injury or illness, let WellsGray know right away! Your health and safety is of the utmost importance to us and further information can be found in the Temp Handbook provided to you on commencement.
